Why Do You Train?
I have always loved athletics and helping people. I also enjoy connecting with people and the camaraderie that comes with working together toward a common goal. Coaching meshes all those things together!
What is Your Training Style?
First, I thin k it is important that as a coach, I connect with the people I work with on a personal level. I care and I want people to be successful and feel supported. I think positive encouragement and feedback are essential. I also believe proper fundamentals, form and technique are keys to success and staying healthy. So I work hard to give clear explanations on our movements, then add minor tweaks to maximize success.
Advice for Others?
We are all on our own fitness journeys. The hardest thing is often just getting started. Make your journey, your own. Start moving, ideally doing something you love. A little action is better than no action. Then staying consistent is key as you get stronger and layer on more movements.
Experience
With over 20 years of classroom and coaching experience, Kevin has worked with athletes at all levels, including youth, high school, and adult. He has coached athletes in multiple sports, including football, track & field, soccer, basketball, and baseball. He has his personal training certificate and has worked with adults 1-on-1 and small group settings. Kevin is motivated by watching his athletes be successful, both inside and outside of the gym. He believes there is nothing better than the happiness one gets from helping others achieve their goals and be successful.
